POS

PH POS works directly with barcode label printing scales (such as the TM-A series). When a customer brings a weighed item to the counter, the cashier scans the label the scale printed and PH POS automatically adds the item to the cart with the correct weight and price — no manual entry needed.

How It Works

  1. The customer's item is placed on the scale.
  2. The scale prints a sticky label with a barcode.
  3. The cashier scans the label at the POS terminal.
  4. PH POS reads the barcode, identifies the item, and works out the weight or price automatically.
  5. The item appears in the cart ready for payment.

That's it. The cashier does not need to type anything — scan and go.

Before You Can Use the Scale

You need to complete the following setup steps once. After that, the scale works on every sale.

Setup Checklist

  • ☐ Set the accepted scale barcode prefix in PH Settings
  • ☐ Add a Scale Rule for each product group that contains weighed items
  • ☐ Assign a PLU number to every item that will be weighed
  • ☐ Programme those same PLU numbers into the scale itself
  • ☐ Test a scan and confirm the item and weight appear correctly in the cart
